2012 - PIAGGIO VESPA LX125, 3 VALVE, ONE OWNER, EXCELLENT CONDITION, LOW MILES, PX WELCOME The Italian Vespa, that icon of the Sixties and Seventies, has had a makeover and offers fun and economy for today’s rider. For 2012 the Vespa LX was given has an all-new, long-stroke 125cc engine with three valves (two inlets and one exhaust). The main aim was to maximise fuel economy, but the improvement in efficiency also resulted in a seven per cent power increase with 10 per cent more torque, CO2 emissions were down by an impressive 30 per cent, and service intervals increased to 6,000 miles. It’s the fuel economy most buyers are interested in and, for this, Piaggio claims 155mpg at a steady 30mph. In reality, you’re more likely to see 110mpg, maybe more if you’re easy on the throttle. It’s a very agile little machine, more so than some scooters because of the small wheels, just 11 inches at the front and 10 inches at the rear. You get good storage space, with a helmet-sized compartment beneath the seat and some useful extra in the back of the legshield. This particular bike was previously involved in a minor accident, although it has now been fully repaired and repainted; it's now back to a near immaculate condition.
